Nuclear Energy

Nuclear energy is formed by the fission or fusion of atom particles.
Pro.
Dosnt pollute atmosphere
Cleaner Energy
Cons
Radioactive Waste
Potential Dangers.

With the recent event in japan Nuclear power is being scrutinized even more closely.  People are hesitant about this source of energy. Another problem with this is the storage. The storage must be secured and locked up because of the waste produced is highly or lowly radioactive and needs to be stored and secured from potentially dangerous or ignorant people so they don't have cancer.

With the Earthquake and the risk of the Reactors in japan going into a meltdown and releasing high levels of radioactivity  people are becoming fearful. People are being screened radiation even know to make sure that anyone near the facility is treated.

  1. How about embedding a video or linking a video to some reliable source the summarizes the situation?

  3. It's terrible what happened to Japan. I would be so distraught if I had to deal with radiation... twice! What they should have done is try to earthquake proof the nuclear power plants more to be able to sustain the damage.

  4. Im glad the US doesnt have any nuclear plant. After the earthqueaq in japan. All over the world engenears are making the plants more secure my macking every single one the same. This will help prevent common builiding mistakes. All they will have to do is put the parts together and not have to worry about the architect makilng a design maistake, everytime they build a new plant.

  5. I didn't know that the US didn't have any nuclear power plants. I guess Three Mile Island must have happened in Japan too. Seriously though, there are 104 nuclear power plants that are licensed to operate in the US so you might want to start worrying. XD

  6. I basically agree with Norbert on this one. I mean with technological advancements nowadays, there has to be a way to further earthquake-proof these powerplants.
